Join us at our rescheduled Appliance Recycling Drop-Off Event.
Get a $35 $50 rebate for each old, working air conditioner or dehumidifier you recycle (limit four units) at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Delran, New Jersey on June 6, 2026, from 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
We recommend you register for the event in advance to help expedite your drop-off. Alternatively, you can fill out an appliance drop-off form and bring it with you on the day of the event.
NOTE: You don't need to register for the upcoming June 6 event if you registered for the original April 25 event, which was postponed due to the weather. Your registration is still valid.
We cannot accept refrigerators or freezers at our drop-off events. Please schedule an appointment for free pickup if you’d like to recycle your large appliances.
Your appliance recycling pickup is just a click or call away.
Schedule your appointment online or by calling 1-844-356-4608.

Eligibility requirements:
- Customers can recycle up to two refrigerators or freezers (and up to two room air conditioners or dehumidifiers during the same appointment) per household, per calendar year.
- PSE&G cannot perform a pickup for only room air conditioners or dehumidifiers on their own. They must be picked up along with a refrigerator or freezer.
- Your refrigerator or freezer must be 10 to 30 cubic feet and in working order.
- Sub-Zero brand appliances are not eligible for this program.
- Mini-fridges or freezers are not eligible for this program.
Preparing for pickup day.
Customers have the option of receiving an in-home pickup or leaving the appliance(s) outside for a no-contact outdoor pickup.
For all pickups:
- There must be a clear and safe passage for appliance removal. We cannot remove railings or move furniture.
- Please make sure all pets are secured and kept away from our removal team, even if your pets are friendly. If your pets are not secured, we will need to reschedule your pickup.
- You must have adequate street parking in front of your home. Our trucks are not permitted to enter your driveway.
- Our removal team cannot ascend/descend more than one set of stairs during the removal of your appliance(s). If your appliance is located more than one floor from your building’s entrance/exit, elevator access is required.
- The refrigerator’s or freezer’s waterline should be disconnected, the drip pan drained, and the unit properly defrosted.
- All appliances must be clean and empty. We are unable to accept any appliances with mold or mildew damage.
- Our teams reserve the right to refuse removal if they determine the environment poses a safety risk or could result in damage to your home.
For in-home pickups:
- The removal team will ask for your electronic signature after they collect the appliance(s) from inside your home. Please make sure the number of appliances being removed matches the number of appliances on the signature page.
- An adult age 18 or older must be present at the time of pickup.
- Your appliance(s) must be plugged in so the removal team can confirm it is in working condition.
For no-contact outdoor pickups:
- A signed Authorization Form must be placed with one of the units being collected.
- Please download and print the Authorization Form and secure it with one of the units. You will also receive the Authorization Form via your appointment confirmation email after you schedule a no-contact outdoor pickup. If the form is not present at the time of pickup, the removal team will not be able to collect the unit, and your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
- We cannot collect any appliances that are not listed on the completed Authorization Form.
- Appliances are required to be in working order. If an outlet is not available on-site for our crew to test the appliances, we will pick up your appliance and test it at our facility. If the unit is determined not to be in working condition at that time, you won’t be eligible for a rebate. Once your appliance has been picked up, we’re unable to return it, regardless of the status of your rebate.
- Appliances should be closed securely so that they are not able to be opened by children.
