For faster, more precise cooking, induction cooktops are an excellent choice. They use electromagnetic energy, which means shorter heating times compared to electric and gas units. Also, the surface remains relatively cool, which is safer and makes cleanup easier.

Better yet, you can claim a $250 post-purchase rebate.* Pick up a qualifying cooktop from any retailer and submit a rebate claim within 120 days of purchase. You should receive your rebate check approximately six weeks after PSE&G reviews your application and documentation.

Non-induction electric cooktops, including radiant heat cooktops and ranges, are not eligible.
Any residential appliance that features an induction cooktop, including (but not limited to) full-size standalone cooktops as well as complete stoves or ranges, is eligible for a rebate.
Portable induction burners or hot plates are not eligible.
Customers applying for a rebate must have an active PSE&G residential electric account or be a Butler Electric customer receiving PSE&G residential gas service. Commercial and multi-family properties are not eligible.
The model number must be listed on the application or invoice. If the model number is not listed on the invoice/receipt, a SKU or item number corresponding to the model number on the store’s website must be available.
Rebate claim must be submitted within 120 days of purchase. The receipt or invoice must contain the day, month, and year of purchase.
Refurbished appliances, open-box appliances, and leased appliances do not qualify. This applies to all rent-to-own appliances, lease-to-own appliances, and appliances in layaway at stores such as Rent-A-Center and Aaron’s. If the receipt shows the terms “lease to own” or “rent to own,” then a balance owed of $0 must also be shown, or the appliance must be paid for (up-front and in full) to qualify for a rebate.
The rebate amount cannot exceed the value of the purchase.
Equipment purchased from any utility’s online marketplace is not eligible for a rebate.

There are no limitations on the purchases of appliances that are eligible for instant discounts. However, you may only claim one post-purchase rebate (per appliance type) on your account each year. The exception is smart thermostats, for which you are eligible for two rebates during the lifetime of the account.

Instant discounts are available to all PSE&G customers who shop in-store at participating retailers

Only current residential account holders are eligible to apply for PSE&G’s post-purchase rebates.

Rebate eligibility varies by individual appliance types for customers who receive electric-only service or gas-only service through PSE&G. For example, if PSE&G only provides you with gas service and you’d like to claim a rebate on an electrical appliance (such as a refrigerator), you need to instead check with your electric utility provider to find out if they offer rebates. In this instance, you’d be ineligible to claim a rebate with PSE&G.

Butler Electric customers who receive PSE&G residential gas service are also eligible for post-purchase rebates on electric appliances.

No. Rent-to-own appliances, lease-to-own appliances, open-box appliances, and appliances in layaway at stores such as Rent-A-Center and Aaron’s don’t qualify.

If the receipt shows the terms “lease to own” or “rent to own,” then a balance owed of $0 also must be shown, or the appliance must be paid for upfront and in full, to qualify for a rebate.

No. Post-purchase rebates can only be issued in the form of a check.

Once we confirm that your rebate application is complete and that you meet all eligibility requirements, you can expect your rebate check to be delivered to your address within six weeks.

Room air conditioners, dehumidifiers, ventilation fans, air purifiers/cleaners, and electric outdoor equipment are only discounted through participating retailers.

However, post-purchase rebates are available for appliances purchased at any retailer as long as the paid receipt shows the retailer name, model number, and purchase price. The rebate amount can’t exceed the value of the purchase.

Equipment purchased from any utility company’s online marketplace isn’t eligible for a rebate.

Yes. If your property owner, management company, or association is a PSE&G residential account holder, you may be eligible for a rebate. Before PSE&G can process your rebate, you may need to provide documentation that your utility bill is included in your rent or association fees.
